We present the Fassi Techno technology – FX990 / X-DESIGN / FSC TECHNO to the Movicarga awards

New FX990 unit control

The main characteristics of the FX990 control unit is the increase in dynamic control of the working speed thanks to the processing system that better manages the use of work areas in favor of lifting capacity. With the significant increase in resources with three CAN-BUS lines: one dedicated to sensors, one to controls and one to the vehicle connection. In relation to this last aspect, it is important to remember the previous advances, from FX-Link to the DBF (Drive by Fassi) function for remote driving of the truck with the V7 radio control of the crane. Another absolute novelty: to all this are added two Ethernet lines that further expand connectivity and processing power.  

In fact, although CAN-BUS communication is a fairly well-known standard feature, the choice of hardware equipped with an Ethernet line makes Fassi the only company in the sector that has identified it as a solution due to its potential. This allows new solutions to be implemented, from the connection to the FX991 7” color touch screen, to the gateway with multi-connectivity for the IoC (Internet of Cranes) function and many others that will arrive in the future.  

Furthermore, the design of the extension group has been completely updated with a new decagonal section of the secondary arm and telescopic extensions, which contributes significantly to the vertical development performance. Better performance has been achieved without increasing the weight of the crane. All this leads to greater structural integrity of the crane.

Furthermore, the version with nine telescopic extensions represents an innovation never seen before in the Fassi crane sector: it facilitates an exceptional reach of up to 40 meters vertically and 35 meters horizontally with the addition of the L616 hydraulic jib. With the crane folded in the rest position, the geometric design of the arms to fit under the truck floor does not limit the use of customizable spaces, for storage compartments, warehouses or other uses. This is a significant advance in extensibility that opens up new possibilities and challenges when it comes to lifting heavy loads.   

Stability is one of the key elements of the new F1250R-HXP TECHNO. The FSC-TECHNO stability control system, derived from the combination of the features of the FSC-P and FSC-SII systems, guarantees precise and reliable control. Furthermore, thanks to the geometric supervision of all the crane's articulation points (main boom, secondary boom and extension extensions), the mechanical stop of the movement jack of the articulation itself is controlled "smoothly" through progressive deceleration in the last millimeters of travel.  

By controlling the movement, this function (called SoftTend) allows you to increase the speed, at the same time canceling the dangerous triggering of load oscillations caused by the impact of the mechanical stop. It is also possible to create compartmentalized work areas, which will increase safety and free the operator from having to monitor these areas for possible interference, allowing him to pay more attention to the movement of the load.  

These innovations not only improve safety, but also increase work efficiency and reduce the risk of damage to the load or obstacles adjacent to the work area.
