X-DESIGN: BETTER PERFORMANCE REDUCING THE CRANE WEIGHT

For Transgrúas the innovation is a constant reality, as so it is for Fassi: the new X-Design decagonal section is a proof of it. This new technology represents a great advance on bothe knunckle boom cranes design and performance. 

 

X-Design decagonal section benefits.

 

The X-design decagonal section from the secondary arm and the extension offer really important benefits explained below. 

 

  1. Better strength distribution: The decagonal structure allows a better distribution of forces between the sliding and the crossbeam. This significantly reduces the thickness of the beam, which in turn decreases the overall weight of the knuckle boom crane.

  2. Weight reduction: By reducing the thickness of the spar without compromising structural integrity, the truck mounted crane is lighter. Lower weight improves vehicle performance in terms of fuel efficiency and payload capacity.

  3. Higher vertical performance: The new decagonal section contributes significantly to vertical development performance. This means that cranes can reach greater heights without an increase in weight, which is crucial for tasks that require substantial lifting.
